Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami addressed the ceremony, which was also attended by a number of senior Quranic figures and activists.
General Salami hailed the launch of the centers as a great step in development of Quranic activities.
He said, however, that it is just a first step and such measures should continue.
Noting that the key to happiness and peace is in the Holy Quran, he said the Holy Book shows us the path of Jihad, patience, self-sacrifice, Tawakkul (putting one’s trust in God) and faith.
He added that those acquainted with the Quran find the Sirat al-Mustaqeem (Straight Path) more easily.
God has put in the Quran the healing to all of humanity’s pains, General Salami said, stressing that abandoning the Holy Book is a sign of ungratefulness to God.
